Domino and Jason helicoptered to a remote cliffside on Hawai’i Island’s Kohala coast, the parcel of land barely large enough to land. There, with the ocean and the sky and their closest family as witnesses, they vowed to care for each other forever. Who knew there could be such peace between the crash of waves, the roar of a waterfall, and the whirring blades of a helicopter? After planting a young coconut tree to mark this new, sacred spot, they flew to a neighboring cliffside to join a raucous celebration waiting for their arrival. As the mist rolled in towards the end of the day, the couple made a surprise grand exit in an Australian Pinzgauer, clouds of dust wafting behind them and obscuring the joyful crowd.
